wrist twist while gripping

My wrist twists as soon as i grip around the cue like a hammer as per coching advice .Sometimes i feel the width of the butt can twist your wrist as you wrap your fingers around the cue but i am not sure if this is the case.Has someone else faced the same problem?Could anyone tell how to wrap your fingers so that no tension develops in the wrist.Thanks.

Does anyone have any old cues they'd consider a trade for? The price on eBay reflects their extortionate fees obviously :)
Anyone local to Bradford welcome to call up for a knock with it.
