I have a few minibutts and other paraphernalia, kicking around the snooker room, for use by visiting players.

Does anybody know the most commonly used thread size for minibutts? I am converting the butt from a scrapped 2 piece cue into a minibutt. If I can get the original brass turned down to the correct size I am good to go. I have only 15 more weeks here in China and would like to get the work done before I leave.

Looking hunched and too high on the shot

I hope this gets answered as it's basically regarding my stance on a pool table. I look fine on a snooker table but on a pool table. I have been told I look high on the shot and look hunched as if I am standing too close. I lift the but of the cue to reach the chest. I have tried bending the knee more just can't get my body down!! Any suggestions I'm 5ft 10.

On the spotted on eBay thread I can't see ADRs post( the last one i see is by Neil T) and in the next heavyweight champion of the world thread, in off topic chat ,I can't see Byroms post, last one I see is by Gavpowell ,is anyone else the same?

Chest on cue not happening for me?

I think a chest on cue can help the cue remain straight during delivery.However, when i get down i have pretty good clearance between chest and cue and there is no way i can touch it with my chest until i overdo , something that can obviously create problems.My question is what stance to take so that chest touches cue like it does for many professionals.Thanks.

Cloth cleaning

Ok so this has likely been thought of before but I play on an ordinary club table and try to look after it as best I can with brushing , blocking and ironing it prior to each time playing on it. Invariably because it's in general use when I come in its usually dirty which is a pain. Bought my own brushes and napping block as the ones in the club are done but I recently bought a big lint roller and it's one of those that's reusable, you just wash it. Made of some kind of rubber type material and is very good and doesn't leave any sticky residue at all. Just wondered if anyone had used anything similar for lifting dirt, crumbs , hair etc from the cloth or whether anyone has any views on if this would damage the cloth or not?
