Need some advice on what tips to buy and what cases too?

Thought I'd ask this question in a different thread so as not to get lost.

Firstly, tips, reading around I quite fancy the BDP tips, but are these considered hard or soft?

Are there better options available?

What is the general consensus on matching tip hardness to shaft stiffness?

Also, what are the Halo aluminium cases like, better than the Cue Craft ones?
